Another great marketing piece by Operation Smile. Might have to tilt your head for the first shot - sorry about that.
So impressed by this organization...

Pay for Shipping?
Operation Smile continues to impress me. Today's email campaign is trying to get donors to donate specifically to pay for shipping costs. Shipping costs!?!? Obviously, shipping costs are not usually something that is very glamorous or a campaign that donors typically gravitate to, but let's face it, it's a necessity in order to do what they do. I love the way they worded things... simple and straight to the point. Seems silly not to help them out, right?

Life Before and After
Another great piece from Operation Smile. The way this organization uses videos to get their mission across is so crucial in their line of work. After all, not all of their donors will be able to attend one of their mission trips. In order for Operation Smile to show their supporters all the great work they do, they have to craft pieces like this one. I wish more organizations regardless if they are working in the US or abroad would put together little videos/powerpoints to share with their stakeholders. This organization gets it.

Become a Member
Another quality e-campaign from Operation Smile. They are now asking individuals to join their team. After making a gift of $20, $60, or whatever you are able to give, you will be emailed your very own certificate that you can download and print off. Below it lists off two things they are hoping to do this year with your continued support.
Is being a member anything special? No, not really. In fact, is it really just a marketing ploy to get you to make a donation? Yes. But, they are continually finding unique ways to make people feel special... and apart of the team. Very well done in my opinion - it grabs your attention and makes you want to be included. It's got to be more effective than your everyday "Donate Now" email. Props to Operation Smile for changing things up and trying new things.
Also, please notice their constant integration with social media and sharing.

Year in Review
So impressed with this marketing team. I think this is going to be the future of nonprofits. If they are going to want to stay in the game, they are going to need to start doing more things like this - year in reviews. It allows the donors/volunteers to feel more informed and connected. So smart, I would love to know how long it takes for this nonprofit to create this video vs. how many donations it brings in (especially at the end of the year)!

Happy Holidays from Operation Smile
Another one from Operation Smile...
Whoever works in their marketing department is a genius. I don't know how you could not want to donate after watching this video. I find it very impressive that they thought far enough in advance to have doctors, nurses, and volunteers say happy holidays on camera during various international missions. It shows that they really do care about their donors and frankly, it shows that they are smart and know what they are doing. It couldn't have cost too much to put this video together and I'm sure it will bring in a decent amount of money. It's put together very professionally and is a perfect length of time. Clearly, I'm impressed. What do you think?

Gifts for Donations?
What do you think about offering gifts for a donation? Operation Smile (one of my favorite nonprofits) is now offering gifts with minimum donations. What do you think? Smart idea or just taking $$ away from the mission?
